Maravanthuruthu: The Nithya Sahayakan Trust’s Amma Veedu has once again extended a compassionate hand, this time to Kavitha, a widow from Ward 10 of Maravanthuruthu, who was found to be in a heartbreaking condition.
The matter was brought to the Trust’s attention by Panchayat President Preethi, who informed Trust President Anil Joseph of Kavitha’s plight. Following a personal visit to her home and an assessment of the situation, Anil Joseph and the Trust team made the decision to admit her into Amma Veedu.
Kavitha had been living alone since the tragic death of her husband Venukuttan, who had passed away years ago after falling from a jackfruit tree. With no family support and her health deteriorating, she became bedridden and entirely dependent. There was no one left to care for her.
Recognizing her vulnerability, the Nithya Sahayakan Trust took prompt action and brought her to Amma Veedu, where she will now receive care, protection, and dignity in a supportive environment.
