Kallara: Thangamma (85), a resident of Edattuparambil house in the 2nd ward of the Grama Panchayat, was living alone due to age-related illnesses. With no one to care for or look after her, the matter was brought to the attention of Panchayat President Johny Thottunkal. Based on his request to admit her to Nithyasahayakan’s Amma Veedu, Nithyasahayakan accepted the responsibility.
In the presence of many local residents, Thangamma was formally handed over by Panchayat President Johny Thottunkal and received by Nithyasahayakan President Anil Joseph, Amma Veedu Secretary Sindhu V.K., patron Thomas Anjil, Arjun Thaikkootathil, Surendran K.K., Claramma Babu, Ruby Thomas Kuryanthadam, Viju Nair, and Rajappan V.K.
Upon her arrival at Amma Veedu, Thangamma was warmly welcomed with bouquets by nursing staff Reetha Jaison, Soumya, and Jayashree Surendran.
