Ratnamma, who lived alone in the 4th ward of Kattuthuruthy Gram Panchayat, had suffered a stroke and fell into a state of weakness. She was unable to care for herself, and there was no one to look after her. As a result, Vishwaltha, the ASHA worker in the ward, informed Panchayat member Archana Kapil. The Panchayat member visited the elderly woman and then informed the Nihyasahayakan workers about her situation.
Anil Joseph and Sindhu, from the Nithyasahayakan Ammaveed, went to the location and assessed the situation. After temporary care was arranged, Mary Amma took Ratnamma to the hospital with the help of Panchayat member Archana and ASHA worker Vishwaltha. They admitted Ratnamma to the Medical College Hospital.
After Ratnamma was discharged from the Medical College, the challenge was to find a place for her to stay. The Nithyasahayakan ammaveed took on this responsibility. On Easter Sunday, Ratnamma was transferred from the Medical College to Arunnur Mangalam ASHUPathri, and the workers of the Nithyasahayakan took her to the Amma Veedu Bhavan.
The following people provided leadership for this transfer: Panchayat member Archana Kapil from the 4th ward of Kattuthuruthy, ASHA worker Vishwaltha, neighbor Mary Amma, Adv. K.K. Sajikumar, Trust President Anil Joseph, Sindhu V.K., Thomas Anjambil, Surendran K.K., Jijo George, Paul Mankuzhikkari, Reetha Jaison, Chackochen Kuryanthadam, James Kavattaparambil, Angelo, and Ananya Enivar.
Anil Joseph expressed gratitude to God for making it possible for the Nithyasahayakan to provide shelter to Ratnamma, the elderly woman, on Easter Day.
